Large lidded pitcher from Royal Copenhagen.
Design: Thorkild Olsen (1890-1973) 1954.
Thorkild Olsen was the artistic director at Roal Copenhagen porcelain factory, but also active in the stoneware department.
Large pitcher and small lid with flapped grip.
A winding belt divides the pitcher in two parts
The lower part is in ox-blood-glaze, and the upper part has a light gray-green celadon glazing with red spots.
The lid is in the same red and gray-green colours.
Signed: 3 wave lines, 1954, compiled TO (Thorkild Olsen), 705.
H (without lid) = 23 cm, D = 22 cm.
